The SMARTHELMET consortium developed a video about the project goals, technologies and activities. The video was developed as part of Dissemination activities to raise awareness about the developments enabled by the project.

Workshop on "Aerodynamics in bicycle helmets".

The SmartHELMET partners organised the workshop on “Aerodynamics in bicycle helmets" held in Engineering Faculty of Porto University (UoP), Porto, Portugal, on September 28, 2015. During the workshop, Dr. Guido De Bruyne and Mr. Peter Steenwegen discussed several aspects related with the development of high-performance bicycle helmets, from design to aerodynamics, from testing methods to approaches for drag reduction.

Innovation event on "Tools for innovating in consortium",

The SmartHELMET partners organised the Innovation event on "Tools for innovating in consortium" held in Engineering Faculty of Porto University (UoP), Porto, Portugal, on September 28, 2015. During the innovation event, Mr. Vasilis Sideris discussed several aspects related with the development of biomechanics products, showing how biomechanics research can contribute to the development of products with improved performance. Introduction to the SmartHELMET project.

This presentation and the logo of the project were designed at Biomedical Solutions (Greece) by Ms Marta Santos and Ms Maria Pinto from the University of Porto (Portugal), as part of a Public Outreach activity.

European Safety Standard EN1078

The SmartHELMET partners Strasbourg University and Lazer Sport NV developed a video about the European Safety Standard EN1078 that all helmets sold in the EU must meet. The video was developed as part of the Public Outreach activities of the project to raise awareness about the helmets requirements regarding construction, impact absorption, retention system and marking.
