Project Info

The fundamental purpose of the SIMPROVE project is to significantly raise the state of the art in simulation and training of health professionals. The aim of the project is to develop a new technological architecture for the current STI MEDICAL system that supports the operation of simulation centres and training of teams of health professionals, a system that was developed in the Netherlands in the first decade of the 21st century and that is now considered one of the most advanced systems in the world in this area. The aim is to create a new flexible and modular architecture, a more effective simulation methodology and a new type of serious games (multiplayer mode). These innovative contributions are supported by a set of tools designed to create new simulation scenarios, training (scenario editor) and serious games (serious games editor) that will form the basis of the "Biomedical Simulation Centre of the Future".
