XMR is a new subclass of NMR architectures, where an enhanced BST infrastructure co-operates with a duplication-based design to provide a TMR-like behaviour. Error confinement and a timely recovery are possible with X belonging to [2, 3[, allowing single IC integration and simplifying the design process.
