The Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto offers 10 Engineering programmes taught in Portuguese and 1 fully in English language. All these programmes have the duration of 5 years, following the rules set for Integrated Master’s degrees. This means that at the end of the 5th year (between 300 and 360 ECTS) students earn a Master’s degree and are considered effectively capable of carrying out the Engineering profession; in the end of the first 3 years it is possible to have a “licenciatura” diploma equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

All Engineering undergraduate courses are duly certified by the Agency for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES), an affiliated member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) whose purpose is to promote European cooperation with regarding quality assurance. These study programmes also have the EUR-ACE quality mark which confers a greater European dimension to FEUP’s diplomas and is a facilitator of academic and professional mobility within the European territory.
