HEALTH AND SAFETY

Porto is a safe city, with an excellent transport network and a good public health care service. There are several public health units in the city, namely Hospital de São João, also located at Campus da Asprela, it was considered for the eighth time  the best public hospital in the country. It should also be noted that the University of Porto itself offers a wide range of medical and psychological support services, and free student consultations are available in the areas of General Practice, Gynecology/Obstetrics, Psychiatry, Psychology, among other specialties.

Portugal is ranked as 1^st in the world in the Internations Quality of Life Index 2019 and is considered as 3^rd safest country in the world by the Global Peace Index 2019.
