MIEEC is the 5 year masters-level graduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Porto and FEUP. MIEEC students have an exceptional quality, take in a unique education at FEUP, and have been helping to promote the economy for years at companies that range from large multinationals to SMEs and an impressive number of tech startups in Porto and elsewhere.
In their final year, MIEEC students do their master thesis. A master thesis in MIEEC is typically an engineering project in ECE for which the state of the art is analysed and a proper performance evaluation is conducted. MIEEC welcomes thesis proposals from the industry in Portugal and abroad. First because it allows our students to develop their thesis in the industry and build up their CVs. Second because this way themes and projects in ECE can be developed that are relevant for the industry and society as a whole.
Industry participation is defined by FEUP’s model for thesis in the industry. More on MIEEC theses in the industry.
We suggest that thesis proposals by the industry are done in coordination with a UPorto professor. More on proposing a thesis.
