This document describes the state of the technology in the design for debug and test area. This area is addressed by a module with the same name within workpackage 2 of the Leonardo INSIGHT II project and comprises four independent training actions: Modern Techniques for Systems Design, Techniques for Prototype Debugging and Validation, Design for Test Standards and Proposed Standards, and Design for Debug and Test Techniques. The objective of this document consists of providing an overview of the main aspects considered of importance for the electronic design engineer and is meant to support an introductory session where only those aspects of direct relevance to each training action are to be presented.
