Welcome reception will be held on the 18th July, 19h00, at Ramos Pinto Port wine cellars located on the south bank of the Douro river (Vila Nova de Gaia).
To reach this location take the metro line D (yellow) and get off at 'Jardim do Morro' (literally - garden on the hill top). We suggest you spend a few minutes taking in the scenery from the garden and top of the D. Luis bridge before taking a 15 minute stroll, first downhill to river level, and then along the river front towards the Ramos Pinto wine cellars.
From the 'Jardim do Morro' you can also catch the scenic cable car that will drop you off across the road from the Ramos Pinto Port wine cellars. Be warned that the cable car closes at 20h00, so be sure to arrive a few minutes earlier.
Gala Dinner will be held on the 19th July, 19h30, in the cloisters of the São Bento da Vitoria Monestary.
This monestary is located in the old part of town. The best way of getting there without getting lost is to find your way to Clerigos Tower, and from there turn directly into Rua do Mosteiro de Sao Bento da Vitoria, where the monestary is located. Before turning in to the monastery itself you may wish to take a 3 minute stroll down to the end ot the road to view the scenery of the Douro river and D. Luis bridge.
